Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, host of a TV show and actress famous for hosting the popular daily talk show The Talk. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas was raised among Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl lives in a family that is turbulent. She spent most her childhood caring for her younger sister Frankie. Frankie was a victim of polio. When she was growing up, Sheryl was plagued by problems with her mom. Sheryl asserts that, in an instance, her mother knifed her father after he got too close to Her. Sheryl joined up the military shortly after graduating from the college. Her passion was comedy. She was the first woman to win the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. Her TV career began in 1992, as a participant on the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. The show was hosted by her Oh Drama! in 2000. Since 2011 she has been appearing as a co-host on the talk show The Talk. She also has fictional roles on series such Bulworth and Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
